This company is responsible for the collection, coordination and processing of waste and material streams for companies in urban areas. The overall aim is to reduce the residual waste stream, to turn waste into valuable raw materials and to increase the livability by limiting (polluting) transport movements. In short; a not so ordinary waste collection company!

Job description

As a driver you will work independently, you are responsible for collecting waste and raw materials from many companies. Your tasks include:

  • Carrying out the logistic process of collecting, transporting, storage and sorting of waste and materials. 
  • Registration of collected waste and materials. 
  • Maintaining and expanding the relation with customers. 
  • Reporting to the team about things you see, hear, smell and experience.
  • Driving an electric vehicle with a trailer on the back

You will be working outdoors and it is a hands-on job.

Job requirements

  • Available asap
  • Available to work +/- 16 hours per week for a minimum of six months (preferably longer). Must be available at least two weekdays and one weekend day.
  • Living in The Hague
  • You work well both independently as well as in a team
  • You have driving license B 
  • Proactive and not afraid to get your hands dirty
  • You like to work outdoors
  • You are fine with physical work, as the job is physically demanding and requires lifting heavy containers

Hours & salary

You are expected to work 12-24 per week in shifts of 3 to 6 hours. Shifts are possible every day of the week and the most regular shift times are:

08:30 - 12:00 and/or 12:30 - 17:00 (It is possible to to work a full shift 08:30-17:00) 

Your salary will be €15,- per hour, regardless of age

You will be provided with working clothes

Sustainability & Circularity: you help make the city waste-free through separate collection and high-quality reuse of raw materials.

Additional information

There are 4 rounds in the application process:

Round 1: CV/Availability Screening. 
Round 2: Online Interview with brave ones. 
Round 3: Offline Interview with the company. 
Round 4: Try-out shift (not a full shift).

Hereafter you'll have a 45-minute onboarding training at the office and on the job.
