You’d be working for a logistic service provider in the ICT sector which offers additional services for its customers. The company is based in Wijchen, which is half an hour from Nijmegen Central Station by bus or by bike. You can expect a big warehouse with designated areas for each team. The team is young, informal, and hands-on.

Job description

Your main work activities are dependent on your skills and preferences. 

You’ll be placed in one of four departments: 

  • Inbound: Receiving and processing incoming goods. You are responsible for making sure the shelves are stocked so outbound can pick orders as efficiently as possible.
  • Outbound: Orderpicking products for shipping.  So the customers receive the right products on time. (Taking the EPT course is required to work in Outbound)
  • Expedition: Handling heavy goods (physical work). This involves order picking, similar to outbound. The only difference here is that the products you are picking are of the heavier kind. (Taking the EPT course is required to work in Expedition)
  • Facility: Supporting general logistics and maintenance. You are responsible for keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organized.

No previous experience? No problem. They’ll teach you everything you need to know. You'll also follow a mandatory training course in June to learn how to drive an EPT (electric pallet truck). Only if you work for the Outbound or Expedition team.

You will work together with international students and Dutch people. The team is welcoming and inclusive.

Job requirements

  • You are available to work from the 30 of June until the 29 of August (for at least 4 consecutive weeks, preferably 6-8 weeks).

  • You can work for at least 32 hours per week. 

  • You are reliable, accurate and hands-on. 

  • No experience in logistics is required, but you need to be willing to learn. 

  • You are living in Arnhem / Nijmegen.

  • Your willing to follow a course to learn how to use the ept on a Sunday end of June.

You will be planned early or late, that depends on what role suits you the most, the work shifts are.

Inbound the shift always is (06:00 – 15:00).

For Outbound, Expedition and facility the shits will be, day (09:00 – 18:00) or (13:00 – 22:00) and evening shifts (15:00 – 00:00). You will be planned in on one of those shifts depending on your availability.

You will have a total of one hour of breaks throughout the day. And are expected to work at least 4 shifts per week, ideally 5. Resulting in about 32 - 40 hours per week. 

Hours & salary

Your salary:  

€14,76 regardless of your age.

Allowances: 

After 22:00 you will receive +35% allowance.  

When you live further than 10 kilometers away, you will receive €0,23 travel reimbursement per kilometer.

You will go through 3 rounds of application process:  

  • Round 1: CV Screening.  

  • Round 2: Offline Interview with Brave Ones.  

  • Round 3: Offline tour in groups + Interview with supervisor.
